TO FOSTER / ADOPT a dog from the NYCACC **

If you would like to adopt a NYC ACC dog, and can get to the shelter in person to complete the adoption process, you can contact the shelter directly. We have provided the Brooklyn, Staten Island and Manhattan information below. adoption process or if you live in NYC, you can apply to foster a dog with the ACC

If you CANNOT get to the shelter in person and you want to FOSTER or ADOPT a NYC ACC Dog, an approved rescue will be able to get the dog for you, you need to apply via this form
You MUST live in NY, NJ, PA, CT, RI, DE, MD, MA, NH, VT, ME or Northern VA as this is the prescribed range of states where NYCACC dogs can go. These rescues work in partnership with NYCACC New York shelters and rescue dogs in N-E between Virginia and Maine.

EMERGENCY PLACEMENT - vulnerable dogs at risk of euthanasia



emergency placement animals are posted three times a week on https://newhope.shelterbuddy.com/Animal/List , on the evenings of Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 6:00PM and remain viewable for 42 hours.


Schedule overview: Animals posted at 6:00PM on Sunday evening will be viewable until Tuesday at 12:00PM noon. Animals posted at 6:00PM on Tuesday evening will be viewable until Thursday at 12:00PM noon. Animals posted at 6:00PM on Thursday evening will be viewable until Saturday at 12:00PM noon.
